Review: Skin & Lab Dr.Vita Clinic C Plus Brightening

Hello gorgeous babes,

I remember the last time I got lots of acne scars in my early pregnancy, my dermatologist prescribed me vit C serum, which I didn't take because I decided to wear less beauty products during pregnancy. But somehow my skin turned just great (thanks to pregnancy hormones), no more pimple and the dark spots slowly faded.. until a comedo remover balm caused me break outs!

Even though I managed to calm my skin down, there were still dark spots to take care of.. And I remember that my dermatologist advised vit c for dark spots, so I searched for beauty products that contain vit c, yet still mild enough so it won't cause any purging. Since I'm satisfied enough with my current serum, I searched for moisturizer that contains vit c, and got interested with Skin&Lab Dr.Vita Clinic C Plus Brightening. well it's also because it was on crazy bundling promo from Althea hihihi.

I searched for its review and every reviews I found were positive.. So I had a high expectation from this product. And here's my Skin & Lab Dr.Vita Clinic C Plus Brightening review:
Official Description:
"Designed to brighten and correct skin tone, the Dr.Vita Clinic C Plus Brightening is made to rejuvenate exhausted, dull skin for a healthier and more lively look."
Certified by the KFDA for its effectivity in brightening, the Dr.Vita Clinic C Plus Brightening is formulated with key ingredients like vitamin C, manganese, coenzyme Q10, and Barbados cherries to whiten, condition, inhibit the production of melanin, and relieve the effects of UV rays

How to use: After cleansing, at the very last step of your skin care routine, apply an adequate amount (as you would with a cream) to the entire face or to target areas.

Ingredients: Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Alcohol, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Pentylene Glycol, Phenyl Trimethicone, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP, Copolymer, Bisabolol, Dimethiconol, Carbomer, Tromethamine, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Dimethicone, Sodium Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl, Taurate Copolymer, Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, Fragrance(Parfum), Isohexadecane, Polysilicone-11, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Ubiquinone, Polysorbate 80, PVM/MA Copolymer, Sodium Polyacrylate, Disodium EDTA, Malpighia Emarginata (Acerola) Fruit Extract, Manganese Gluconate, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Extract

Packaging: Skin & Lab Dr.Vita Clinic C Plus Brightening comes with a box and the product itself is wrapped in a tooth paste-like tube. It has minimalist design, I say it's sleek.. I have no special impression abt the packaging, don't like neither dislike it. It's only 30ml so it's very travel friendly. It has English description and directions on both the box and the tube, appreciate it.
Scent: It has fresh-sweet citrus scent, but not that kind of car perfume citrus scent. I dislike citrus scent but I can bear with this one, I wish it was formulated without fragrance though.

Texture: semi transparent yellow gel which absorbs really fast and feels so smooth on my face, light, refreshing, non tacky and greasy. A lil goes a long way, so even though it's small but it will last a long time.
Performance: I only use Skin & Lab Dr.Vita Clinic C Plus Brightening for PM routine, as a moisturizing cream after toner and serum. Been using it for 4 months now, as I mentioned I have high expectation in this product and don't mind if it works slow on removing my post acne dark spots. And yeah, Skin & Lab Dr.Vita Clinic C Plus Brightening helps a lot in fading my dark spots faster than my expectation, but also creates the new ones at the same time *sob*. Not so much though, like only 2-3 pimples at a time but I kept getting new pimples, so it's like a never ending circle.

I thought it was something else but when I forgot to bring Skin & Lab Dr.Vita Clinic C Plus Brightening on my vacation trip for more than a week my face wasn't getting new pimple and when I start using it again the pimples start to appear again. So I stopped using Skin & Lab C Plus Brightening and it's been a week already, and I haven't got a single new pimple since then. I guess vit C is not for my face then.

I still got half of the tube left since a little goes a long way with this product, I might pass it to someone whose skin is not sensitive.

Here's the comparison:
Pro(s):
+ Quickly absorbed
+ Lightweight formula
+ A little goes a long way
+ Travel friendly
+ Really helps to fade the dark spots
+ Refreshing, non greasy & not tacky

Con(s):
- Contains Dimethicone & Fragrance
- Breaks me out
- Not available in Indonesia & Netherlands

Verdict: I don't like Skin & Lab C Plus Brightening like I loved the other Skin & Lab products. I don't know if the problem is my sensitive skin or is it because of the ingredients, but I don't recommend it if you have acne-prone skin or just try to use the Skin & Lab C Plus Brightening cream for spot treatment on the desired area instead of the entire face.

Repurchase: nope.
