Review: Brighter skin in 10 days with Jumiso Skin Care Set Routine

Have you heard about Jumiso? It's not much happening in Indonesia yet, but from what I've read before it's quite hyped up in Korea and some other countries! So of course my curiosity aroused. And just at the right time, StyleKorean opened a Try Me Review Me with Jumiso, so I was veryyy happy when I got chosen as one of the reviewers, and tried it as soon as the skin care set arrived.The set consists of toner, serum, moisturizer cream and a sheet mask:

Jumiso is a brand from Hello Skin Cosmetic Company; Ju means 'to give' and Miso means 'smile' in Korean.

In this post I'm gonna share my honest review of Jumiso Yes, I am Toner, Jumiso All Day Vitamin Brightening and Balancing Facial Serum, and Jumiso Have A Good Cream. I'm gonna share my thoughts about Jumiso First Skin Brightening Sheet Mask on another post here.

It's been 10 days since I tried the trio skin care set from Jumiso, and here goes the review:

What it does:

AHA ingredients such as Glycolic acid and Lactic acid—  Removes dead skin cells to reveal healthy glowing skin and a refined texture that looks and feels smooth.

Panthenol— Boosts rich hydration, brightens and revitalizes to perk up skin instantly.

Lemon Myrtle—Maintains your skin's water-oil balance and recovers damaged skin to improve the look of the overall skin complexion.

Houttuynia cordata extract—abundant in polyphenol and diverseamino acids as well as Scutellaria Baicalensis root extract rich in skinrevitalizing substance will bring your skin full of shiny tone.  

What else you need to know:

Alcohol-free, including ethyl ethanol

Suitable for all skin types.

How to use:

After double cleansing, pour toner to a cotton pad.

Gently wipe the pad over face.Follow with your favorite sheet mask, serum and moisturizer

I can spot it's packed with so many good ingredients!

Jumiso All Day Vitamin Brightening and Balancing Facial Serum 

What it does:

Jumiso All day Vitamin Brightening & Balancing Facial Serum dramatically improves the appearance of hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone while respecting your complexion’s delicate balance to leave it silkily conditioned as well as comfortably clean. Lightweight and non-greasy, this super-potent serum is brimming with essential nutrients and antioxidants that works together to keep hand visibly glowing, plump and even throughout the day.

Crafted with 86.14% Vitamin Tree extract, this non-water based formula refines, brightens the appearance of skin and minimizes signs of aging.

Centella Asiatica Extract helps in healing acne scars, calming inflammation and accelerating cell turnover for a clearer and softer skin. To finish the rich formula, it also contains Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract and Hyaluronic acid that regulate sebum production and provide long-lasting hydration and suppleness.

How to use:

Bergamot Peel Oil is irritating, but it's at the bottom of the list. However, do patch test if you have sensitive skin!

Jumiso Have A Good Cream

What it does: 

Centella Asiatica Extract - Reduces the appearance of blemishes and pigmentation and maintains moisture and glow

Snail Secretion Filtrate - Moisturizes within the skin, boosts skin elasticity and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. 

Rejuvenates stressed skin with these natural ingredients. Brings back the healthy glow in a snap. Soothing - Ingredients such as asiaticoside, madecassic acid and asiatic acid contribute to soothing your skin enfeebled by irritation and bringing

health to your stressed skin.

Best if: You have dry, parched skin and are looking to add a moisturizing product to your routine.

How to use:

1. Cleanse face.

2. After cleansing, apply an appropriate amount of cream onto face and neck morning and evening.

3. Gently pat the essence into the skin for maximum effect.

Ingredients: Water, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Squalane, Centella Asiatica Extract, Bacillus Ferment, 1-2,Hexanediol, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Olivate, Dimethicone, Trehalose, Arachidyl Alcohol, Sorbitan Olivate, Arginine, Carbomer, Cyclopentasiloxane, Panthenol, Caprylyl Glycol, Behenyl Alcohol, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Polysilicone-11, Arachidyl Glucoside, Ethylhexylglycerin, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Allantoin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Mentha Haplocalix Extract, Snail Secretion Filtrate, Menthyl Lactate, Disodium EDTA, Backhousia Citriodora Leaf Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Asiaticoside, Madecassic Acid, Asiatic Acid, Beta-Glucan 

Don't worry about the alcohols, because they're the good, fatty alcohol ones that won't irritate your skin.

The similarity I've found from the 3 products are:

1. No fragrance

2. No bad alcohols

3. Lots of amazing inrgredients

Packaging: All of the products have different signature color, but there are 4 similarities:

1. Cute illustration

2. Cute product name that sounds like a greeting or answer

3. Made of sturdy plastic. and transparent for the liquids made them light and travel friendly

4. Descriptions and ingredients are written in both English and Korean

Jumiso Yes, I am Toner comes with a box that has a cute Korean subway map inside:

clever and thoughtful! so if you have a plan to visit Seoul, you might wanna keep it XD it also came with a safety seal:

Jumiso Have A Good Cream didn't come with spatula. But I kinda like it since I have spatulas from my previous moisturizers and don't have to feel the guilt to throw them out, and fingers are more hygienic if you don't cleanse the spatula every time before and after use. Anyway, besides its main screw lid, it also has a safety lid:

Scent: Even though the 3 products have no added fragrance, they smell pleasant and fresh, not a strong kinda scent and will disappear within a few minutes.

Texture:

Jumiso Yes, I am Toner: Transparent, thin watery.

Jumiso All Day Vitamin Brightening and Balancing Facial Serum: Even though it's a non-water based serum, it's lighter and more runny than the other serums I've tried. 

Jumiso Have A Good Cream: a semi-gel cream that is not sticky (even with snail secretion as one of its ingredients).

First Impression:

Jumiso Yes, I am Toner: It does kinda prick a bit because it's been a loooong time since the last time I used chemical exfoliant. It absorbed very fast and leaves my skin smooth and matte.

Jumiso All Day Vitamin Brightening and Balancing Facial Serum: It's really nice and easy to spread, and I only need 3 drops for my entire face (another 3 for my neck). It's a little bit sticky before it gets absorbed completely.

Jumiso Have A Good Cream: It does makes my skin feels a bit warm if I use it after using the toner in the first step. It does leave a greasy layer, but will be gone when the cream absorbed perfectly, which takes less than a minute.

Performance:

Compared to my previous skin care set, my moisture level is improved and oil level is also decreased:

But when I checked in the morning, the moisture didn't last overnight in an air conditioned room:

After 10 days using Jumiso Yes, I am Toner in the PM and Jumiso All Day Vitamin Brightening and Balancing Facial Serum + Jumiso Have A Good Cream for AM & PM religiously, my skin does look brighter and the textures got a bit improved. Here is the difference:

However, I also got 4 new pimples, but 2 of them (which came out earlier) healed very fast. I can't say whether it's a purging or breakout since I try the 3 products altogether and one of them is an exfoliating product. But I guess it's caused by the toner. My current skin condition is sensitive, hence I previously stopped all kinds of chemical and harsh physical exfoliant. So I think my skin still can't accept the toner just yet, but to be sure, I'll try using one by one in a longer time (I usually need 1 month per product to pass the skin cell turnover cycle period) to see which one caused the problem. So I'll update later~

Pro(s):

+ Absorbed very quickly, less than a minute

+ Packed with amazing soothing, brightening, antioxidants, anti-aging and hydrating ingredients

+ Hydrating

+ Improving overall skin texture

+ Brightening

+ Balancing my skin moisture and oil level

+ Doesn't contain bad alcohols and fragrance

+ Transparent packaging for liquids (it's important for me because I like it when I am able to see how much product I do still have left)

Con(s):

- It still triggers sensitive skin (but I still have to check which one)

- Doesn't moisturize long enough in an air-conned room

Verdict: I could see my skin has improved both in tone and texture, plus got moisture and oil level balanced. It's really good for everyone who has a dull and tired skin and wants to make it brighter in a safe way. But if you have sensitive skin like mine please do patch test first!
