Review: Jesse's Girl Liquid Eyeliner

Hi there, curious fella!!

Besides lipstick, I can't leave home without eyeliner since 2012. I need my eyes to be defined, otherwise I'd look like someone who didn't get enough rest (which is true). So this time I'm gonna share an eyeliner that ppl said was Kat Von D Tattoo Eyeliner's dupe: Jesse's Girl Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner.

Packaging is good. Doesn't look cheap at all. The applicator is Japanese calligraphy style brush, which kinda difficult to use for me at the first swipe, but when I could finally get a good grip on it, it's a great brush!

Texture: liquid with matte finishing. Consistency is weird, I say, the ink is separated from the liquid so when I applied it for the first time, it was like using non permanent marker on plastic. But after I shook it quite hard, it finally got normal.

Performance: In the beginning, it was a bit difficult to work with the calligraphy brush, but after 2-3 times, it was really awesome, I made my the sharpest winged eye liner so far lol. But I really needed to shake the product hard in order to get the right consistency, otherwise I'd look like using ink mixed with water on my eyelids. The color is not as black as I hoped it to be, and as for staying power, it sucked on me. It might be waterproof (haven't got any chance to prove it), but it couldn't stay for a long time enough with my oily lid (while the other brand which was 4x cheaper could do better). I honestly don't understand why many ppl raved it, is it because of the applicator brush? or is it just mine that might be nearly expired? Oh.. and 1 more thing, I don't know how but the cap could open by itself, so mine is already dried now, and I only used it for 3 times -_-

Verdict: I wish I could love Jesse's Girl Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner, but I think this product has been over-rated. IMO tt's below expectation, another -cheaper drugstore eyeliner performs better than Jesse's Girl Liquid Eyeliner.
