Review: Urban Decay Perversion Mascara

Today I’m gonna share a quick review for my HG mascara, which is: PERVERSION MASCARA from Urban Decay!!

Urban Decay claims this ultra-creamy lengthening and volumizing mascara is buildable and it won't clump or become brittle, and it "contains Hairdensyl, a complex blend of proteins and amino acids - including marine glycogen, known to stimulate lash growth. Honey extract provides deep nourishment, sea idolized elastic stimulated the hair follicle, and marine collagen protects." I was hypnotized and didn’t have to think twice to purchase it.

I have short and straight Asian eyelashes, and before using this product I only used drugstores mascaras from Maybelline, L’Oreal & LA Girls. So when I first tried Urban Decay Perversion Mascara, I really couldn’t believe the result! My eyelashes indeed turns bigger and blacker, also longer and curlier without even using eyelash curler. Even when I wore it to office, one of my colleague suddenly came to me only to ask “What kind of Mascara are you using now? Your eyelashes look great, were they usually this thick and long?” which made me grin like a minion.

Okay.. I can’t wait to show you the result on me, I wear it on my left while the right one are my bare lashes:

Top: a few layers, bottom: more than few layers :p

UD Perversion Mascara has great thick brush, the bristles are soft, it didn’t prick my eyelids like the drugstores mascaras do, yet it grabs my lashes efficiently. It dries quite fast, so it’s lovely to add more layer to create badder lashes :) It also doesn’t flake, nor smudge (except for the lower lashes, they smudged a bit but it’s because my face are oily, I guess), feel hurt on my eyes even when I’m wearing soft lenses and easy to remove! I am more than impressed.

I have been using this mascara for a year and have always been repurchasing : ) I only purchased the deluxe sample size though, since I don’t use mascara daily, so the amount is perfect for 3 months (before it dries up).

+ Thick, yet soft application brush

+ Easy to remove

+ Doesn’t flake nor smudge’

+ Comfortable to use when wearing soft lenses

+ Already available in Indonesia

Con(s):

- Not cheap

- Dries quite fast

- Not waterproof, but hey.. I haven’t cried when using this mascara, so what? :p

Price: I bought the sample size around Rp. 75k, I supposed the full size is around Rp. 300k?

Repurchase? I have and I will, I would also like to compare it with Benefit & Too Faced in the near future
