ST. Ives Timeless Skin Apricot Scrub Review

Hi gorgeous,

In this post I’m gonna share a review about Timeless Skin Apricot Scrub from St. Ives.

I’ve been using this for months, I guess more than half a year for my exfoliation routine, and this has substituted my Clinique 7 Day Scrub Cream that I used for my daily (heavy) cleansing regime.

St. Ives claims “this product, with gentle alpha hydroxyl, visibly tones and firms, revealing younger looking skin. Dermatologist tested – Oil Free, Non comedogenic. Formulated without parabens and phthalates. Not tested on animals and does not contain animal ingredients.”

I purchased this scrub accidentally when it was on sale at Guardians last year, when I haven’t even heard about this brand (I know, I’m always missed out). Before, every exfoliating scrub I’ve tried always broke me out, even the one that really seemed natural. So I didn’t used this when my face was in a horrible full of pimples state last October. I started using it since early 2016 at night, once in two days, since the direction tells “For best result use 3 to 4 times a week”. I never used it in the morning because the product recommends us to use sunscreen after usage (because it contains AHA), well.. before, I rarely used sunscreen because I’m afraid it’d clog my pores and cause breakouts, but I have started to use it since last month, even fror only in the weekends (Mon-Fri I always go to work at 6 and clock out after the sun sets).

I’m so in love with this scrub because it has never caused me any breakouts. The size is pretty huge, 150ml, which I think will last for a year. The texture of this scrub is thick cream with not so dense apricot granules scrub, it doesn’t feel harsh at all, it’s milder than black sugar scrub, and because it has less density of scrub comparing to Clinique 7 DayScrub, it’s also milder. However, I can feel my face clean after using this scrub, moist and supple, no greasy film at all, and in the same time it doesn’t feel dry either, and I’ve ever spotted any redness after cleansing with this.
Here is the scrub texture:

With AHA Ingredients, I don’t really see much improvement on my dark spots which are caused by acne, but I see my face is well-toned. It also contains perfume, which mildly smells like apricot (of course), which I don’t mind. But I feel my skin is a bit oilier in the morning when I used it the night before, comparing with using Clinique Facial Soap for Oily Skin. But it’s still acceptable as long as there’s no Mr. Pimple.

If you are looking for an affordable, yet pretty good mild exfoliation product, I recommend you to try this one.
