Review: Etude House I Need You Tea Tree Mask

Hi Gorgeous,

This time I’m going to share about Etude House, I Need You! Tea Tree Mask Review, which I already kept in my fridge for almost a year and yet just tried this 3 days ago (because it’ll be expired tomorrow, Aug 27th!) :p

Here is what Etude House claims: “This mask sheet contains extract from the clean herb, Tea tree extract (Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Extract, with soothing properties on skin to provide a fresh, clean complexion.”

Ingredients: Water, Butylene Glycol, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Fruit extract, Alcohol, Panthenol, Carbomer, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Xanthan Gum, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Extract (200MG), Potassium Hydroxide, Ethylhexylglycerin, Allanton, Camellia Sinesis Leaf Extract, Sophora Angustifolia Root Extract, Loncera Japonica (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Prunus Persica (Peach) Leaf Extract, Paeonia Albiflora Root Extract, Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Disodium Edta, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance.

Expiration Date: 24 months from manufacturing date. (Use immediately after opening).

So after quite a while (I am currently in love with my pregnant skin which doesn’t demand a lot as it used to) I haven’t seen any pimple on my skin, I suddenly got a big one on my chin. Maybe because it’s clogged by sunscreen? Anyway, since I’m pregnant and salicylic acid is not recommended for pregnancy, I took a look at Etude Tea Tree Mask ingredients, and found out that the ingredients are mostly herbal which I supposed is safe during pregnancy. So I tear the cute packaging and start to put it on for around 15 minutes.

The liquid volume is 20ml, the scent reminds me a bit of Laneige Water Sleeping Pack which is calming & soothing. The mask didn’t sting me whatsoever, and it felt really good.
The sheet itself is designed to fit Asian face, but I think the eyes are too small for me. But anyway it didn’t really bother.

Here is how the mask sheet fitted on me:

LOL I look scary!

After 15 minutes, my skin felt soo plumped & really moisturized, I massage the remaining solution for a while so it would be completely absorbed to my skin.

The morning after, my face still felt soft & moisturized, but that Mr. Pimple is still angry though.. And when I looked into the mirror my face is not as healthy looking as when I applied Laneige Water Sleeping Pack. It rather looked dull :( (maybe because of my sleep deprivation), and I found 2 small –white- bumps on my eyebrows area, welllll.. maybe it was for detox? But those small bumps were easily gone.

This is how my skin before and after I used the mask:

It looks more supple and glowing afterwards, in the same time the pimples were appear to be more redden. And by the time I’m posting this, my big pimple is still there LOL.

Conclusion: I don’t know if you use it regularly, it may have cleansing effect. But for me this sheet mask is only moisturizing, refreshing and a bit brightening, no healing effect for pimples.
