Daily Cleansing Regime for Oily-Acne Prone Skin & Review: Sephora Waterproof Eye Make Up Remover, Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micellaire Solution, Clinique Liquid Facial Soap & Clinique 7 Day Scrub Cream

With a great make up, comes a huge double cleansing responsibility.

I heard from many pros that make up doesn’t cause acne, uncleansed face does. My face is not so acne prone, but if I change skin care too much, or only use make up remover without being followed by a proper face wash, those unwanted red guests will appear in the day after.

So.. to prevent them, my daily beauty regime is as follows:

Step 1 (Daily 1x, Heavy 2x): Sephora Waterproof Eye Make Up Remover

Review: This is the best Eye Make Up Remover I’ve tried so far, the formula is great, non paraben nor fragrance, and it removes my waterproof make up easily. I’ve tried the non-waterproof one from Sephora and it sucked. I also use this to remove my lipsticks, it’s so handy esp for the non-transferrable ones which usually so difficult to cleanse.
I usually put a cotton which has been poured with the solution on my closed eye, and wait for 5 to 10 seconds, then rub it very gently. Voila.. All gone!

Step 2 (Daily 1x, Heavy 2-3x): Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micellaire Solution

Review: Well.. many MUA & beauty bloggers swore by this cleanser, even it’s recommended by my Dermatologist. And I understand why.. It really absorbs the dirt on my face, no trace, nothing! the most gentle cleanser I’ve ever had, no paraben, no fragrance. Before, I used Nivea Milk Cleanser, and when I tried this.. I think I’ll say good bye for good to Nivea. The con is, it’s 10x more expensive than Nivea!! Haha

Step 3 a (Daily): Clinique Liquid Facial Soap
Review: I’ve been using this cleanser since 2011, I used the one formulated for combination skin, but since my Hubby now are using the same face wash and he has serious oily face, I use the one for oily skin to cut the budget hihi. Non-fragrance skin care is always my fave, that’s why I love this. Unlike the one formulated for combi-skin, this one has minty cool sensation when I apply it. It works good with my hubby, his face isn’t as shiny as it used to be. And for me, it doesn’t dry my skin, it’s just perfectly leaves my skin feeling clean.

Step 3 b (Heavy): Clinique 7 Day Scrub Cream
Review: I purchased the travel size and it lasts more than a year, maybe I’m too lazy to scrub lol. It claims that it is safe to be used everyday. But I just don’t dare.. so I just use this after full make up or before using facial mask or just when I feel like scrubbing.
I don’t know, sometimes I got 1 pimple after using this, and when I already got some then the pimples tend to be angrier. Ouch!

Honestly, I rarely wear heavy make up, not even once in a month or two months. For me,
Heavy make up consists: Primer, BB Cream, Nose Contour, Concealer, Eyebrow, Eyeshadow, Eyeliner, Mascara, (rarely) Blush on, Lipstick
Daily make up consists: BB Cream, Eyebrow, Eyeliner, Lipstick.

When I don’t use BB cream, I skipped step 2. I never skipped step 1 because I can’t leave without eyeliner and lipstick! Lol

Thank you for reading! I would love to know your daily cleansing regime too.. Please share with me in the comments section below :-*
