Review: Kao Liese Creamy Bubble Color in Milk Tea Brown

Hi Gorgeous..

Today I’m gonna reviewing my second hair dye experience. Now it’s done with Liese Milk Tea Brown (used to be known as Liese Prettia) which was happen in April 2015 – I know, I know.. a busy lazy ass, I am.

Well, due to a bad lighting in my apartment, so I present you the pic from google:

Why Liese? Because I am satisfied with my first bubble hair color before, it has more color options than Schwarzkopf Freshlight Foam Color and I have seen so many positive review about this brand. It is a Japanese brand, but from my research it is also available in Thailand and Singapore, and it is cheaper in Thailand. I used to work at a travel agent company, so I asked my tour leader colleague to buy this one for me from his trip to Bangkok.

What will you get inside the box:

Solution 1 (the dye), Solution 2 (developer), Foamer bottle cap, 1 pair of rubber gloves, hair treatment (yummy!), and an instruction sheet.

Please be aware if you buy it in Thailand, then the instruction will be all written in Thai, which I don’t understand whatsoever. But thank God, from the picture I can tell the instruction is exactly the same with Schwarzkopf foam color.

Short tips about what you need to prepare:
  • Tissues, keep it as reachable as possible. You will need them if the bubble drips to your skin.
  • Mirror, a big one. So you can spread the bubble evenly to your hair.
  • Old shirt, in my case I wore no clothes and wrapped my upper body with laundry plastic bag hehe.. So the mess wouldn’t get to my clothes.
  • Remove your glasses, softlenses & jewelries. Well, I don’t know whether it could stain jewelries.. but, better to bring umbrella before it’s raining, right? ;)
  • Because the foamer cap doesn’t attached with straw, you can put on the pump cap AFTER shaking the mixed developer & hair color.
  • Your hair should be perfectly dry, and not oily. So if you have oily scalp and planning to dye your hair in the morning, wash your hair the night before.

Like Schwarkopf, they got color chart guide on the box which is very helpful so you would know which one you should choose in order to get the color you wanted.

Ok.. Now let’s jump to the process! Again dear, I apologize for the low res pics from using iPhone cam for some pics ^^;

This is my hair before, FYI I hate to brush my hair. So.. please forgive me for snapping such a messy and gross hair:

It’s so fluffy I’m gonna dyed! :p

First half & second half

The waiting times is around 20-30 minutes, but as I did with Schwarzkopf foam color, first I applied half of the product evenly and wait around 10-15 mins, then I applied the remaining half and wait again for another 20 mins. Then I shampooed my hair twice and applied the after color treatment.
It’s just as soft as Schwarzkopf.

I wickedly love the result:

From left to right: indoor (bad lighting), indoor (so-so lighting), the rest are outdoor.

It looked different, depends on the lighting.

I also got burned root, but not that visible and it only for the first 4 days I guess, or 2 times hairwashes.
And what’s more amazing, the color really lasts even after 5 months! Well.. the color changed a bit more to yellowish, but it’s still good. Here’s the proof:

Conclusion.. it’s almost the same like Schwarzkopf Freshlight Foam Color I’ve reviewed before. It just has more color options (although some colors are a bit similar to each other), the smell is a bit sweeter if I’m not mistaken (but still can't cover the ammonia smell), slightly more expensive and unfortunately is not available yet in Indonesia.

Pro(s):
+ The product contains more than enough for my medium long hair
+ Better color options than Schwarzkopf
+ Makes your hair soft
+ Easy to apply
+ Long lasting

Con(s):
- Still.. strong ammonia smell
- Not available in Indonesia
- Not every color is even. I tried the Marshmallow Brown but ugh... it’s awful comparing to this one

Where to find: In Singapore Guardian & Watsons. In Thailand Boots and Watsons

Price: In Singapore SGD 19.9 or around IDR 200k. In Thailand I forgottt :D

Repurchase? Well, I actually have done so.. I asked my hubby to buy me 2 boxes when he was in Singapore

Thank you for visitting my blog! Hope my curiousity will be useful!
Lotsa love,
