Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in Don’t Pink of It Review & Swatch

Happy 70^th Independence dayyy… I’m so proud being an Indonesian, this country really has a rich culture, including language, art, religion, food, etc.. :)

On this Independence day, I’m going to review and swatch Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in Don’t Pink of It.

First of all, my big apology for awful res pics L my apartment lighting is mediocre so I could only use iPhone for taking quick pics since it’d be difficult for cams in getting focus in such lighting :’(

I am long for nude and matte lippie, for my lips are wide (and not sexy!). So when I read many beauty junkies praising BREV lipstick, I can’t help but hunting for this one. I had a crush in BREV in shade Nude-ist, So Hap Pink and Don’t Pink of It, but unfortunately the last 2 shades are not available in Indonesia yet.. so the only shade I could buy is only Nude-ist. But just so you know, BREV is a hot item in this country so I’ve been hopping from mall to mall only to find they are all sold out! There are lots of online stores selling BREV in shade nude-ist but I don’t feel like buying it since they sell it more expensive (IDR 220,000) than retail price (IDR 188,000) *sigh* when I share this on my fave forum: Female Daily, a member PM me, informing that she is selling BREV and she has Don’t Pink of It.. so I purchased it without thinking twice. And here it is now.. For a confess, this is my first matte liquid lippie, and I say.. I am so happy with it. Let’s find out why:

BREV Don’t Pink of It Swatch

The color looks a bit mauve on my skin. I used to wear peachy nude.. but I guess it'll be just fine.

On my lips – still wet (ouchies for the resolution!):

The color is somewhat a feminine, light pink. It takes a few mins to dry, but when it’s dry.. it’s awesome! The product glides onto the lips sooo softly, the doe foot applicator makes it easy to apply the lippie precisely (no mess for the first use) and the opacity is great as well.. one coat is opaque enough, but I applied 2 coats. BREV is surprisingly doesn’t dry my lips! I always got dried and flaky lips from MAC, but this one NEVER did that to my lips. The staying power is SUPERB! I have been wearing this all day (around 6 hrs) I ate with it (lunch and snacking), drank with it, kissed my hubby with it (only cheek ya), but my lips still looked good I didn’t need to retouch at all. It also didn’t transfer so much.

The only thing I dislike about it is the smell, it reminds me of paint or what when I just applied it. But still bearable than Sephora Rouge Infusion.. anyway the smell will be gone once the liquid is dry. And It also feels kinda sticky on my lips. But they don't bother me to wear this awesome liquid lipstick daily.
