Review & Swatches: Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette

Nowadays, highlighter counts as a must have item in our cosmetics pouch. When I bought my first highlighter, I searched for an affordable option and since I have no idea what kind of shade would flatter my skin tone, I went for the palette one. Two palettes that caught my eyes were The Balm The Manizers Sisters and Sleek Solstice highlighting palette. I read the reviews and both are good, I finally chose Sleek Solstice because it got more shades and cheaper than the balm.

I thought I'd be using it only at special ocassion, but turns out I really love what they do to my face, it awakens and makes me looks glowing. It's very easy to apply too, no special skill required to apply highlighter. So now I always use highlighter whenever I go with make up on.

Sleek Solstice Highlighter Palette consists of 4 versatile shades:

- Ecliptic: cream formula, rosy beige

- Hemisphere: cool tone, frosted lilac

- Subsolar: light beige

- Equinox: neutral tone, baked peachy

How to use

Blend using fingertips to the inner corners of the eyes, across the browbone and along the tops of cheekbones. Use an eyeshadow brush for precision and increased intensity

Use a powder brush to apply to shoulders, down the centre of the arms and across the décolletage for added radiance

Packaging: A very pretty gold metallic palette case made of quite sturdy plastic, completed with a mirror and a brush. The packaging looks rather lux - like a high end brand despite of its super friendly price, a bit reminds me of hourglass packaging. I dislike the brush though, I think everyone would find it useless as well, I either use my own brush or finger. On the backside there's a description of its PAO (Period After Opening) and it states 24(months) hurray! It comes with a black carton box (Sleek kind of style, and on the back side of the box there is product description, directions to use & ingredients. Helpful, I say.. 

Texture: it got 3 different textures - 2 baked powders: Hemisphere & Equinox, 1 silky shimmer powder: Subsolar, and 1 cream: Ecliptic. Every shade is easy to apply, blendable and buildable. Here are Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette swatches:

Performance: Every shade is very versatile, and looks good on my skin tone. They are easy to apply, blendable and buildable. Ecliptic is perfect for no make up -make up look, very natural and gives a healthy looking glow. I often use it for my nose bridge. I also use Subsolar for my nose bridge sometimes, but even when I don't use it for the nose, I always use this shade for my cupid's bow & inner eye corners. Equinox is actually my fave shade of highlighter, I usually wear it when I'm doing bronze or warm make up (which is most of the time). Hemisphere is the fairest and strongest highlighter in this palette and I use it for glam make up look. But seriously, every shade is very versatile I sometimes wear just any shade depending on my mood.

The staying power is okay, lasts troughout the day, but the shimmers transfer (I think everything with shimmer does) so at the end of the day I always find my baby is sparkling with shimmers all over her face lol

I am not tired to say that this highlighter is very pretty, I even got compliment frm my acquaintance, and she wondered what brand I was wearing and thought it was Becca.
