Review & Swatch: Sephora Rouge Infusion 10HR Lip Ink

Hi Gorgeous!

It’s lippie time! And It’s about Sephora Rouge Infusion 10HR Lip Ink review. I own the Red Essence Shade. It’s honestly the second bold red lippie (the first was from Catrice but I only used it for Halloween) and the first liquid lippie that I’ve ever purchased.

10HR is the most interesting thing that this product claim.
Here is the swatch:

L: without flash. R: with flash
The texture is like lip tint, and when it’s applied, there was some kind of a tingling sensation.
The doe applicator is shaped like mostly liquid lippies applicators are, but sadly, the formula isn’t really buildable, it’s so difficult to apply it evenly, so it looks like my lips got stained here and there. However, the good thing is the color is pretty & the pigmentation is okay, it covers my original dark lip color. The finishing is a bit glossy, but not like lip gloss, more similar to wet ink like its name, maybe? Here is how it looks on my lips:

And on my face (my apology, bad lighting and using front smartphone cam):

It’s not really drying, but not moisturizes either. Despite of what they claimed (10HR), the staying power is really awful! It’s really gone completely after a meal, I don’t know, may be if I don’t have any meal it will lasts up to 10 hr, but who will? And the worst part, I really hate how it smells, especially at the first few minutes of application. It smells like strong chemical, remind me of tip ex or something unpleasant.

Conclusion is, I don’t like this lip ink. Thank God I bought it when it was on special offer (bundled with another lip products) in Sephora Singapore. Have you tried it? let me know if it works better with you : )
